Artists Jim Warren and Oksana Kolesnikova Announce Collaboration

Haunting Original Compositions and Magical Artwork Showcased in
Intimate Florida Setting to Benefit Fine Arts

St. Petersburg, Fla. - - March 21, 2005 -- Grammy award winning artist, Jim Warren, and celebrated pianist and composer, Oksana Kolesnikova, will offer a one-of-a-kind performance during the announcement of their artistic collaboration. The event will take place at the Admiral Farragut Academy, St. Petersburg, Florida, at 6:30pm.

The event will be an emotionally charged evening touted as “The Best of Both Worlds.” Attendees will partake of a culturally rich feast, reflecting on Jim Warren’s unique style of paintings while listening to the ethereal, eclectic piano masterpieces by Oksana.

Jim Warren, whose works include the album cover of rock ’n roll legend Bob Seger ‘Against The Wind’ and the environmental billboard “Earth: Love it or Lose it,” will exhibit a select group of his paintings - ranging from his own brand of surrealism, to works of social and environmental commentary, to those simply celebrating the beauty of nature. Many of his paintings, and prints, are available through some of the top galleries in the United States. Warren will be present during this function to autograph the artwork he will donate to the silent auction.

Classically trained, internationally acclaimed pianist/composer Oksana will present a breathtaking performance that will include not-yet released original works inspired by some of the works by Jim Warren. Originally from Siberia, Russia, Oksana has performed worldwide in concert, and often entertains the U.S. Military overseas.

“The same moment I was introduced to the art of Jim Warren I sat at my piano mesmerized and transformed into musical equivalent the emotions I felt while admiring his works. Jim and I share a very similar artistic wavelength, which is making this collaboration an exhilarating experience,” commented Oksana.

“To me, Oksana’s compositions share the same passion and creativity as I bring to my paintings. When I heard she wanted to compose songs based on my art, I had an instant interest to collaborate with her much in the same manner in which I have done in the past with marine life artist, Wyland, and with Walt Disney Studios,” said Jim Warren.

All proceeds from the April 1st evening will benefit the Fine Arts Department of the Admiral Farragut Academy to insure the proper training for the next generation of artists.
