Pianist Oksana Joins Cool Green Fashion For Forests as Spokesperson

Oksana Kolesnikova, internationally acclaimed composer and pianist, has joined Cool Green in the Summer of 2008 as a spokesperson for the upcoming multi-designer, eco-fashion show fundraiser, Cool Green Fashion for Forests, which directly benefits reforesting initiatives, while promoting eco-awareness in the fashion industry. As a Cool Green spokesperson, Oksana also will take part in public appearances to raise awareness of what communities can do locally to reduce their environmental footprint through “greening” projects and reforestation.

Cool Green finds Oksana inspirational. Her integrity, international reach, ability to touch and elevate others through her artistry, and her passion for connecting with others globally to make a difference are the perfect combination for Cool Green. In addition to actively seeking ways to improve the lives of others and support environmental remediation, Oksana is currently collaborating with several international artists and has begun a school of music. Recently, the celebrated Italian singer Silvia Vicinelli and Oksana announced their collaboration resulting in a groundbreaking new song entitled "Aurora.”

Displaying remarkable talent and passion for classical piano since age five in her native Siberia, Russia, Oksana moved to the U.S. several years ago and has found unique success crossing classical music with mainstream entertainment which has garnered her a fan base that extends across the globe. Her worldwide recognition has landed her spots on the news and television such as CBS 2 News in Los Angeles, PBS National, and HSN, among others. Oksana has performed overseas for the U.S. troops, and when she is not on tour, she performs in Los Angeles where she settled after becoming a U.S. citizen. Many Angelenos, as well as visitors to the region, know about this extraordinarily beautiful artist from her performances five days a week at the legendary Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel and three nights per week at Hilton Universal.

“My love for nature runs through my veins and I want to do everything I can to preserve the beauty and splendor of this planet. I am honored to be a spokesperson for Cool Green. They are working hard to send a strong message of how we can help the environment,” says Oksana. “I look forward to helping them raise funds to benefit organizations that take action to save our atmosphere. I am also looking forward to getting my hands dirty and planting some trees!”
